We’re excited to announce one of the biggest updates we’ve released at MagicalAPI.
This release focuses on improving the overall user experience, making our products easier to understand, and providing more powerful insights for both developers and end users.
Here’s what’s new.
A Completely Redesigned Playground
The Playground has been rebuilt with a strong focus on usability, readability, and workflow efficiency.
Whether you’re testing APIs, evaluating outputs, or exploring new services, the experience is now significantly smoother.
What’s New
- Modernized user interface and navigation
- Improved output presentation
- Enhanced Formatted View for easier result interpretation
- Faster and more intuitive testing experience
- Better organization of service workflows
Export Results in Multiple Formats
Users can now export Playground results directly in:
- JSON
- CSV

This makes it easier to share outputs with team members, save reports, integrate data into workflows, or use results in external systems.
The new Playground is designed to help users move from testing to implementation much faster.
Introducing the New Resume Matcher
We’ve released a major upgrade to our Resume Matcher service.
Previously, the service primarily returned a matching score along with a basic explanation.
The new version delivers significantly deeper analysis and more actionable insights.

New Matching Metrics
The upgraded Resume Matcher now evaluates:
- Overall Job Match
- Skills Match
- Education Match
Instead of relying on a single score, users can now understand exactly where a candidate aligns with a job description and where gaps exist.
AI-Powered Review Summary
The service now generates an AI review summary that provides a concise explanation of the matching results.
This helps recruiters, hiring teams, and job seekers quickly understand the most important findings without manually reviewing every detail.
Overqualification Detection
One of the most requested improvements is now available.
Resume Matcher can now identify situations where a candidate may be overqualified for a role, providing additional context during hiring decisions and application reviews.
More Detailed Insights
The new analysis includes:
- Stronger reasoning behind scores
- Improved matching transparency
- More granular evaluation categories
- Better decision support for recruitment workflows
This update transforms Resume Matcher from a simple scoring tool into a comprehensive resume-to-job analysis solution.
Service Renaming for Better Clarity
As our platform continues to grow, we’ve updated several service names to make them more intuitive and easier to understand.

Updated Names
| Previous Name | New Name |
|---|---|
| Resume Review | Resume Checker |
| Resume Score | Resume Matcher |
| Profile Data | LinkedIn Profile Scraper |
| Company Data | LinkedIn Company Scraper |
These changes improve consistency across the platform and make it easier for users to quickly identify the purpose of each service.
Existing functionality remains available, with improved naming and presentation.
Platform Stability & Bug Fixes
In addition to new features, this release includes a variety of improvements across the platform.
Improvements Include
- Playground bug fixes
- Dashboard improvements
- API reliability enhancements
- Performance optimizations
- Infrastructure stability updates
- General user experience improvements
These updates help ensure a smoother experience across both our APIs and Playground.
